Parathyroid Patient Instructions

 

1. Fill out the New Patient Intake Form.

2. Fax or send us you lab and radiology work at 845-531-4829 or info@advancedparathyroid.com

If you have not obtained all tests, that is OK.  Please send us what you have.  If you did not have your imaging procedures (ultrasound and sestamibi scan) that is OK, we will perform them at our Center. The common tests that we would expect to see include the following tests:

  • Serum or Ionized Calcium
  • Parathyroid Hormone Level
  • 24-Hour Urine Calcium
  • Vitamin D Level
  • Parathyroid Sestamibi Scan
  • Ultrasound of Parathyroids

3. Fax us a copy of your medical notes from your endocrinologist and/or internist.

4. Call the New York Center for Advanced Parathyroid Surgery at 888-760-0966 to confirm receipt of your labs, discuss possible days for surgery and to setup a phone interview with Dr. Gordon.

5. Phone interview.

6. Make travel plans.

7. Travel and Surgery.

8. Follow up care.
