Dr. Lawrence Gordon, MD, FACS is a board certified Head and Neck Surgeon who specializes in parathyroid and thyroid surgery. He is a parathyroid surgeon with over 15 years of experience with many different modalities of parathyroid surgery. The technique he favors is a focused lateral approach where a lateral mini-incision is made over the abnormal parathyroid gland after intraoperative localization with high-resolution ultrasound or MIRP. He is also trained in plastic surgery of the head and neck and he places incision lines for maximal cosmetic benefit. He is one of the few parathyroid surgeons fully trained in all modalities of parathyroid surgery. Dr. Gordon trained under notable Head and Neck Surgeons John Connely, MD and Hyun Cho, MD.
